The Android Partner Frontend (APFE) is the portal used by Android partners to submit compatibility reports and to receive notifications about device build status. Using the APFE web interface, Android partners submit compatibility test reports for approval; Android Technical Account Managers (TAMs) then review the compatibility reports and approve (or reject) them.
With the growth of Android ecosystem, partners are developing and managing a large number of compatibility reports and device builds. Because the APFE web interface requires partners to manually submit reports and to login to APFE to query status, it's not ideal for large-scale device management. The Android Partner Frontend API is a simple interface (set of APIs) designed to streamline partner activities around submitting compatibility reports and querying build status.
