The Transport Tracker Solution

Build your Own Transport Tracker

Create a Transport Tracker to track and manage moving assets like buses or delivery trucks. An Android app captures the location of your vehicles and stores it in a Firebase Realtime Database. A map built with the Maps JavaScript API provides realtime visibility of your vehicles, routes and schedules.

Vehicle Locator

An Android app that you install on mobile devices and put into every vehicle that you want to track.

Administrator's Overview

A web interface that gives administrators an overview of the tracked vehicles.

The server-side component that manages the state of the Firebase Realtime Database.

A web interface that displays schedule information and vehicle locations.

Data Store

A Firebase Realtime Database that stores the vehicle location data sent from the vehicle locator, and provides realtime data synchronization to the map and administrator's overview.
